We’re excited to share a major milestone in Foodari’s sustainability journey. In our first-ever EcoVadis assessment, Foodari has been awarded a Bronze Sustainability Rating, placing us within the top 35% of food and beverage companies worldwide.
This achievement reflects the progress we’ve already made in building a more sustainable, responsible business and the strong foundation we’re creating for the years ahead.

What Is EcoVadis and Why It Matters.
EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, assessing more than 130,000 companies across 180 countries. Each company is evaluated across four key pillars:
Environment
Labour & Human Rights
Ethics
Sustainable Procurement
Foodari’s strong performance across all four areas highlights the meaningful progress we’ve made in integrating sustainability throughout our operations, supply chain, team practices, and long-term strategy.
Commitment to Responsible Growth.
Achieving a Bronze rating in our first attempt is something the whole Foodari team is proud of. It demonstrates the hard work happening across the business; from energy efficiency improvements at our Molash site to strengthening ethical sourcing with our growers.
“This rating is an important milestone for Foodari and an encouraging validation of the work our teams have been doing across the business,” said Jonathan Parker, Managing Director of Foodari. “We are pleased to have achieved a Bronze rating in our very first EcoVadis assessment. This places us among the better-performing companies in our sector, and it gives us a strong foundation to build on as we continue to improve.”
Sustainability Progress in Action.
Over the past few years, Foodari has introduced a number of initiatives that support our environmental and social ambitions, including:
Increasing Local Sourcing
55% of our produce now comes from growers here in Kent, with a further 20% sourced from the rest of the UK.
Investing in Renewable Energy
Our large-scale solar installation now powers our warehouse and offices throughout the day.
Strengthening Supplier Audits
We’ve expanded our auditing process to include environmental stewardship, labour standards, biodiversity, and ethical practices.
Supporting Employee Wellbeing
Our Produce Voucher Scheme provides staff with fresh fruit and vegetables each month at cost price.
Protecting Nature & Biodiversity
We continue to encourage and support rewilding, wildflower areas, and habitat protection; both on supplier farms and at our own site in Kent.
These projects reflect our belief that sustainability is not an add-on, it’s a core part of who we are and how we operate.
Looking Ahead: Our Goals for 2026
While we’re incredibly proud of this result, it’s only the beginning.
“We see the Bronze rating as the beginning of our journey, not the end,” added Jonathan. “We have clear plans in place to reduce emissions, improve resource efficiency, deepen our responsible sourcing, and enhance transparency across our supply chain. Our ambition is to achieve an even higher EcoVadis rating in our next assessment in 2026.”
We look forward to sharing more progress as we continue to grow, innovate, and push ourselves further.
