Assistant Buyer ​

We are looking for a hands-on Assistant buyer who thrives on getting things done and enjoys the buzz of the night shift. This is a unique opportunity to work with the heart of London's iconic New Covent Garden Market, where you will play a key role in sourcing and purchasing the best produce from the suppliers. Your efforts will directly influence the quality of what we deliver to our customers.

What will you be doing: 

• You will head from our site based in Molash (Kent) to New Covent Garden Market (London) each night to buy the finest fruits and vegetables and bring them back to site. 

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers and negotiating the best prices. 

• Help with the stock management, and data entry to ensure smooth operations. 

• This role is Sunday to Thursday, from 10PM to 7AM

What are we looking for: 

• If you are someone who likes to roll up your sleeves, get involved, and get things done, this job is for you. 

• This is a 'Night Owl' role - so you will need to be comfortable with late-night hours. 

• Confident driver who can operate 3.5t van (manual gearbox) in central London. 

• The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years driving experience and would be able to work independently. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from candidates under 25' due to insurance policies. 

• You will need to stay on top of tasks, manage your time well, and stay adaptable in a fast-paced setting. 

• Whether it is negotiating with suppliers or collaborating with our team, clear and effective communication is a key.
